About College
All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal was established in 2012 under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, Government of India. The campus of the college is spread over an area of 150 acres of land. AIIMS Bhopal implements Ayushman Bharat, the initiative of the Government of India. The institute has also many centres of research and study like Cancer Treatment Centre, Cancer Registry Centre and a Poison Information Centre (PIC). AIIMS Bhopal has also been designated as centre of excellence for COVID-19 research by the Government of India and the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. B.Sc. (H) Nursing, M.B.B.S., M.D. and M.S. are the programmes offered by AIIMS Bhopal. AIIMS Nursing is conducted for B.Sc. (H) Nursing programme admission,NEET for M.B.B.S. and INI-CET for M.D. and M.S programmes. The total number of faculty members at the institute is 124 and the total number of students enrolled is 914. The student-teacher ratio at AIIMS Bhopal is 7:1. The college also has many national and international collaborations. AIIMS Bhopal provides clubs and committees for the overall growth of the students.
Many facilities are provided by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal. The college facilities include boys hostel, girls hostel, library, IT infrastructure, cafeteria, medical clinic, auditorium, guest room, sports, gym, wi-fi, etc. Many students from AIIMS Bhopal get placed every year.
